Using Alexa Site Widgets To Improve Traffic Ranking

More recent observations indicate that placing an Alexa site widget on a web site can improve the site's traffic ranking. Here are some of the reports.

Since then, many webmasters used Alexa widgets to get a better traffic rank and enthusiastically shared their success stories to others through their blogs.

In order to get a better sense, let us first review what this technique is trying to achieve.

It is known that Alexa Rank is a representation of a web site's traffic density based on data collected from millions of Alexa toolbar users worldwide and from other "diverse traffic data sources". Lower number is better and 1 being the best.
